Kevin (Despicable Me 2 and Minions)

Kevin (temporarily known as Sir Kevin) is one of the more notable Minions of the Despicable Me franchise. He appears in Despicable Me 2, Despicable Me 3, Training Wheels, the prequel films Minions and Minions: The Rise of Gru, Minions Paradise, and Minions Oscars Segment 2016. A minion by the same name, having a different appearance, appears in the first film.

Kevin in Despicable Me 2

Kevin is a tall, two-eyed minion with sprout cut hair and is usually seen wearing his golf apparel.

Kevin loves to make fun of and tease people or Minions, shown when he made fun of Jerry and teased him for being a coward. He likes playing golf polo and cricket. Kevin has a sense of humor, shown when he thought it was hilarious to see Tom turn into a mutant purple minion, but then immediately showed a cautious side when he realized that he was next to be a victim. In the film Minions, he is the protagonist and leader of the trio in search of a new master. He truly cares about the well-being of the Minion tribe (which is dependent on them having a proper master).

Kevin and Jerry are asked to watch the girls. After Jerry sang them a lullaby, they play golf. The ball is planted on Jerry's mouth and Kevin planned to hit Jerry on the head, but is interrupted by a noise. Terrified, Kevin and Jerry tried to check what is causing the noise but it was just a cat looking through the garbage. Kevin laughed at Jerry for being a coward which caused Jerry to start a fight with him. A light shone from above interrupted their fight, and Kevin left Jerry abducted and waved goodbye to Jerry. After Jerry is abducted, Kevin struggled to save himself from having the same fate as Jerry. However, he failed his attempt to do so and they both floated to the air and disappeared.

He is then shown at the Beach with the other kidnapped minions. Later, he is brought to El Macho's Secret Lab and is transformed into an evil minion using the PX-41 serum after Tom.

After Gru left Eduardo's mansion with the girls, Eduardo unlocked Kevin to find Gru. The next day, he broke into Gru's house which scared away Kyle and frightened Margo and Agnes. When he is about to eat Agnes' unicorn toy, Agnes screamed loudly which stunned Kevin and caused all the glass in the house to shatter. While Margo and Agnes reached Gru's laboratory safely and met with Edith, Kevin fell into the laboratory from the top. However before he proceeded to attack, he was reverted back into a normal minion by Dr. Nefario, using the PX-49. Delighted to have Kevin back, Minions piled on top of him with joy for his return. Since Kevin was at home, A non-mutated minion named Ken went with the girls, Dr. Nefario, and other Minions to El Macho's Lair in order to revert the Evil minions back to their regular forms.

In the end, Kevin, along with his friends Stuart, Dave, and Jerry, are all dressed in white, singing "I Swear" at Gru and Lucy's wedding.

He appears during the credits promoting the spin-off movie, Minions, along with his friends Bob and Stuart.

Kevin steps up for the entire Minion tribe for the search of a new boss, after the tribe is in peril. He recruits Stuart and (grudgingly) Bob for this mission. Kevin sometimes wore Bob along the way.

Kevin notices Bob starving

Halfway on the boat, Kevin notices Bob's stomach rumbling loudly from hunger and whimpering. And he realizes that Bob was hungry. Stuart begins to hallucinate, thinking Kevin and Bob are bananas, and tries to eat them. Bob then sucks on Kevin's head and he pushes them both, trying to stop them. However they realize they made it to New York City.

The Minions' coats were too heavy and hot, so they were looking for something to separate for three minions, but they finally found their legendary denim suits - overalls.

When he, Stuart, and Bob need a ride, they try hitchhiking after they watch a hippie do it successfully. At first, they fail twice at it, but then they hitch a ride with the Nelson family, who also happens to be heading to Villain-Con at Orlando. During the ride, he and Tina Nelson are looking at the latter's magazine, and she introduces him to Scarlet Overkill.

During Villain-Con, when he first sees Scarlet Overkill, he starts to fantasize about Scarlet declaring him and the trio as the best henchmen that could ever exist; after Bob wins Scarlet's challenge (by accidentally swallowing her Ruby), he introduces himself, Stuart and Bob to her as the Minions.

In London, he is given a Lava Lamp Gun by Herb Overkill to steal the Queen Elizabeth ll's crown. Kevin manages to sneak the Minions into the Tower of London, but are stopped by Beefeaters. Luckily, Stuart successfully changes their behavior, but they are soon stopped by the old Blind Tower Guard. Soon, the crown is taken away and used by Queen Elizabeth II, so they follow the queen's carriage and eventually crash in a nearby park. Succeeding Bob's coronation, he is seen playing Polo and Cricket at the Buckingham Palace with the Corgi and Athletes (Only they played polo)

He hits the cricket ball against the door for Corgi.

The ball hits Scarlet's eye, and Corgi himself attacks, licks her. But she tosses the Corgi dog back to the floor.

When Scarlet finds out what has happened, he offers the crown to her in an attempt to appease her, but he and the others are still sent to be tortured. He, Stuart, and Bob escape from the torture chamber, and arrive at Scarlet's coronation, but the later two accidentally drop a chandelier over her. Scarlet, mad, sends other villains to persecute them. Kevin is the only Minion who manages to escape and later finds Queen Elizabeth II in a bar.

Subsequently being threatened by Scarlet on the news to kill his friends, Kevin runs to her castle to find a way to save them. He activates Herb's ultimate weapon, and enlarges himself, which later helps to save Stuart and Bob. The villainess faces the giant Kevin, shooting numerous bursts from the Lava Lamp Guns on her dress but misses Kevin, Stuart and Bob. She sights the Minion tribe and shoots at them, cutting off their escape. As she prepares to finish them off, however, Kevin is able to punch her through two buildings and into a third, temporarily knocking her out. She recovers and manages to send a missile at the Minion tribe, but Kevin catches and swallows the missile and tries to stop the Overkills from escaping, seemingly sacrificing himself to blow them up. He survives the explosion and reverts to his original size but his clothes don't, so he's merely in his underwear and his denim overalls act as a parachute. He eventually bumps into Lord Nelson's statue, which stops him.

At the end, Kevin is knighted by Queen Elizabeth; seeing how a young Gru stops Scarlet from stealing the crown once again, he and other Minions start to call him their "new boss" and follow Gru towards the movie's end.

He is seen standing with Mel along with the other Minions who want to go back to being villains and later seen spitting at Gru.

Later, he is with the other minions in the rain holding a blue bag on a stick, Then he he is seen again with the hungry minions who all want food but are later chased by police officers.

He can bee seen with other Minions being forced to sing, He Stuart and Jerry dress up like ladies and dance with smiley faces on their rear.

Then he appears in the jail scene.

Then he is seen with an initiation with Mel and Stuart.

The next day, he is seen with Stuart sitting on him playing his Ukulele, later is is yelling with the other Minions with umbrellas is later seen falling with them. Later all the Minions land safely and he is briefly seen.

Later he is in a pillow fight amongst the other Minions and hits Dave as well as Lance hits Tim.

And he is last seen sleeping in bed with the other Minions. He's one of the few Minions to not go with Dru and riding on Gru's Airship.

Kevin is one of the protagonists of the film, alongside Stuart, Bob and Gru. He first appears picking Young Gru up from school, disguised as a glamorous mom and he plays it well because he would sometimes kiss Gru. He is later seen with his boss and friends, doing villainous things like throwing a stinkbomb in the movie theater, cheating on arcade games,.spraying cheese on queues, and taunting people in the gym with ice cream. When Gru is invited to an interview with a supervillain group known as the Vicious 6, Kevin, Stuart and Bob ask to accompany him, but he declines. Despite this, they secretly follow him to a store, Criminal Records, which a young Dr. Nefario runs.

After Gru steals the Zodiac Stone from the Vicious 6, their leader, Belle Bottom, leads the charge against him. Kevin, Stuart, Bob and Otto (who sneaked alongside the main Minions) help Gru flee from Jean Clawed, Nunchuck, Svengeance and Stronghold. However, Gru discovers Otto has traded the stone with a kid named Brad, causing him to fire his Minions and go alone to find the stone in his own. Kevin attempts to stop Gru from going alone, but he only ignores him. Much to Kevin's sadness, former leader of the Vicious 6 Wild Knuckles kidnaps Gru.

Knuckles demands the Zodiac Stone in 2 days or else he will kill Gru. The Minions interrogate Otto about who he gave the stone to. They eventually deduce it was Brad. At the kid's house, Brad reveals his biker uncle has the stone as a necklace, so Otto chases him in a tricycle while Kevin, Bob and Stuart leave to San Francisco. There, Wild Knuckles' goons attack the trio until former kung-fu teacher Chow defeats the goons, rescuing the three Minions. Chow agrees to teach Bob, Stuart and Kevin kung-fu to rescue Gru, who was bonding with Knuckles during his time with him.

The three prove to be incompetent students, often disobeying Chow's orders (especially Stuart). After prematurely ending their training, the trio rush to Knuckles' house. They spot and subsequently chase the Vicious 6, who destroyed Knuckles' house. The three Minions, during the climax, find Gru tied up a clock's hands so as to rip him apart. In a harsh attempt of saving him, Bottom (now a massive dragon due to the Zodiac Stone's effects) turns Kevin, Stuart and Bob into a rabbit, a rooster and a goat, respectively. Knuckles joins them in what would become the film's final battle. Despite being subdued by the now animal members of the Vicious 6, the Minions "find their inner beast", defeating their opponents using Chi-based attacks whereas Otto saves Gru from being torn apart. Kevin, Stuart and Bob launch a final sonic scream, sending the Vicious 6 away and allowing Gru to turn them into rats. However, Knuckles was badly burnt by Bottom when trying to take the stone.

Kevin is shown during Knuckles' funeral after his supposed death (which he faked to avoid the authorities). He, Gru and the Minions drove away into the horizon with Knuckles at the film's end. During a mid-credits scene, Kevin is amidst the Minions who literally beg Nefario join their plans, flying on Gru's new airship alongside his boss, Stuart, Bob and the Minions.

Kevin makes cameo appearance in the opening title of Illumination Entertainment in Sing, Despicable Me 3, and Sing 2.

Kevin in Minions Paradise

Kevin is an unlockable and playable character in Minions Paradise. When the location Villain Island is unlocked, players need to help Kevin to fill favors for the villain, as they are too on the vacation island.

There are also stories for Kevin, and he also have stuffs need to be made. His collections are Bounce Blaster, Tent, and Sailboat. After Kevin and all villains are helped, he is still on the Villain Island as a unplayable character, and he's also the only minion there.

Kevin also appears in the April Fools' cutscene, where he gets pranked by Dave and Carl. His golfer outfit also appears in the game but still uses Dave as a template.

Later in 2022, he’s a playable character with the Kung-Fu costume from Minions: The Rise of Gru.
